We’re Here!

Greetings from Bethlehem!
Our flights were great and we made our connection in London with no problem. Our van driver met us in the airport. He drove us through Jerusalem and through the checkpoint into Bethlehem. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner of rice and lamb, yogurt, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and pita bread. We were excited to meet the President of the College, a man we read about before we came. He warmly greeted us and we look forward to spending more time with him.
We are now waiting for one of the “hosts” here to take us on a walk around Bethlehem, then it will off to bed for the “weary twelve.” Our accommodations are really nice… we are very content as well as grateful for God’s provision.
Thank you to all of you for your prayers.

Today is the 16th, and tomorrow you will be in the Galilee district - what a blessing! And what a good way to end your time in the Holy Land! The weather here is taking a plunge - Saturday, the 19th, the HIGH will be 7 degrees. Get out your cuddle duds! Sunday, too, is supposed to be COLD. I’m sure there will be a warm welcome for you in Rockford! Wish I could be there! Don’t lose Al on the way! Love, Shirley
