Monday Morning/Ukraine
Posted by Darla
We had a great day yesterday in Kalinovka. We worshiped together in the morning service. Keith spoke about our act of worship which is not just on Sunday morning, but 24/7. I brought greetings from First Covenant and all the members of former teams. We sang “Your Grace Still Amazes Me.” The service was well attended.
In the afternoon I went to Brovary with Nadia and her parents to talk about Tanya’s wedding. I will do the flowers on Saturday and make centerpieces for all the tables. The wedding is on Sunday. We will not attend as we will be in the Harvest Celebration in Kalinovka.
Sunday night Keith was in a men’s meeting where they talked about outreach. He shared about First Cov’s Party @ The Park and the importance of reaching our neighborhood. He showed them the CD from P@TP and they enjoyed it.
I was in a ladies meeting. They brought in a teacher from a University in Kiev who spoke on Eastern Religion and the influence on the culture. It was informative for everyone; however I felt it a bit negative for the unbelievers who attended. It seems difficult to show love, acceptance and grace.
The youth have their Youth Chat Club and it was well attended, about 20 young people. We are very excited about this new ministry. Please pray for the leaders and those who attend.
Today we will work in Pastor Igor’s house.
We are well and trying to be sensitive to open doors here.
We are able to email each day, so have appreciated your messages to us.
Love,
Keith & Darla

What a wonderful ministry you are having. You are in the midst of so much–being encouragers and holding up the grace of God in Jesus Christ. That’s not easy! Thank you for doing this vitally important work of Christ.
We’ll be praying for Lou and Sue as they travel to join you.
You are in our prayers!
Pastor David
