Monday in Rio Bravo!
Posted by Minnesota Team
Hello All!
Well, at the end of our second day here in Rio Bravo, we have accomplished so much! After a delayed flight on Saturday, followed by some lost lugguage and a late night border crossing, we settled into our hotel to get a little rest before our big day on Sunday. Sunday was filled by Sunday school and a craft with the kids, a GREAT meal prepared for us by the church, a visit to Nuevo Progreso (Las Flores), an evening church service, followed by ANOTHER great meal. By the time we returned to our hotel, we were ready for sleep, but also very excited for the day ahead of us.
We started our day out with breakfast and devotions before heading to the worksite… and I think there was a stop at the bakery on the way! The tools came out as well as everyone´s hard working attitudes and energy! As we worked together we were able to build our relationships, as well as the first wall! We also put together 12 tresses (Not sure of the spelling, you know, those things that hold up the roof!) , and began painting the front side of the church. What a day. We´ve been here for such a short time, but already have been able to feel a connection among the people of our team and the people of Iglesia Eben - Ezer.
So far all have been healthy and safe. Thanks for your prayers! Though we are a little exhausted physically after this day, we are so excited and energetic for the week to come. What an amazing opportunity!
Hasta Mañana!
