I have to make this quick as I need to get to the Hardware store for more pipe glue!

I drove to Harlingen this morning (my first time all by myself) to pick up groceries at Walmart and to go to the airport to get John & Bev Griswold. They arrived on time and after leaving a snow storm in MN were happy to see and feel the warm Mexican sun!

We went to Home Depot and really loaded up the van with 5 doors, a laundry sink, lights and more plumbing supplies. Along with their luggage and all the groceries I had already bought, we once again had too much stuff. The green light was a welcoming sight and we praise God.

We arrived in VH just in time to join the team for lunch. It was fun to take John and Bev to the work site. They had been with us in November when there were just outside walls. They helped build the trusses and put on the roof. The floor was still dirt. What a difference now!

The team is busy finishing up the tiling, installing the water tank and painting. Everyone is feeling the pressure of finishing by tomorrow afternoon. Keith says we will finish…..

John and Bev’s team of 20 people will arrive on Saturday. They will work in Rio Bravo building Sunday School rooms on the second floor of a Church that is land locked and they have outgrown their walls. Pray for John and Bev and Bri as they lead this team.

Tomorrow night we have planned a Thank You Dinner for the 40-some ladies who have cooked for us each day. I must say we are a little intimidated! We have been served the most wonderful food all week…..we are definitely out of our element here!

Well, I must run for now. More tomorrow after I drive John and Bev to Rio Bravo to order materials for their project.

We ARE BLESSED!

Dear Darla, Keith and everyone!

We are truly blessed and encouraged here to know of the wonderful progress there and of God’s provision along the way! It even makes us feel better reading of everything happening there as we are again blasted this morning with very high winds, cold temps and more snow. The photos and good reports make us feel that somehow we are there, too. Certainly our daily prayers, and many others, for you all are being answered.

Hey Keith, I think this weather here is waiting for you! Hurry home!

May God bless you all with continued progress..a finished project…and a joyous celebration! We miss you.

with much love

Well it’s time to greet all the cousins gathered there in VH. Edie, thanks for sharing the info and website before you left Tucson. Darla, thanks for all the blogs that really paint a picture of the work, God’s mercy and His love. Hello to Bonnie, Christa, Demi, Keith, Pat, Kenn, Dick, the two Bills and anyone else I might have missed. Wow! Big extended family. Love you all and I’ll see some of you upon your return to Tucson. (And yes, we are warming up too!) K-Mc
