The cold seems to have left Mexico and the warm sun is shining!
Today we are once again reminded of our differences…………..when my Dad wants to go to Home Depot, he is gone for about 1/2 hour and gets everything he wants and returns home. No big deal.
We left VH at 11:30 this morning and just returned at 4:00. Our only task, to pick up another 1/4 of the insulation, the paint and some plumbing supplies. Nothing is quick and easy. We did get a green light at the boarder, for that we are greatful!
Tomorrow we will get the last of the insulation, some more paint (we had to leave most of it in Texas), the groceries and oh yes, the team arrives! We will pick them up at the airport around 3:30.
Today the tile was completed at the work site and grouted. Juan Manuell is finishing up all the electrical and Keith has begun putting up the insulation. We bought paint for the outside. It is a cream color with a terra cotta color trim. We will prime all the inside walls, but leave the painting to the Mikruts so they can pick out the colors they want.
We had a great time with Karen and Jovita last night (Pastor Inez’s daughter and wife). Gamma has quit his teaching job and is now in Rio Bravo in Seminary. He returns on the weekends, so we will have dinner with him tonight. Karen is teaching English and working in the Church. Pray for her as she has been diagnosed with an ulcer in her throat. One of her ministries is leading in singing and the Dr. says no singing for another month. The Church is growing and expanding their ministry into the neighboring colonias.
Thank you to those of you who sent comments. It’s good to know you care and are praying for us. Pray that the team makes all their connections tomorrow and arrives safely.
I may not be able to post again until Monday unless I happen to find the cyber cafe open.

We are thanking God with you for the exciting things in store. We join with Lindsey and many others in prayer for Karen. Please tell Karen and Gamma I think of them often. We are excited to hear of the growth of the church. We are also joining with you and several of our small groups in prayer support of your ministry there and now for Karen. May God conitnue to bless you with favor in the eyes of the people. May there be a blessed bond of love and unity with the team and the wonderful people there.

Wow…I cant believe that about Karen…Please let her know that I am praying for her and that I think of her often. Give her a hug for me, tell her that I love her, and tell her I cant wait to see her this summer!!! Hope all is going well with you guys! Im oraying for you. Bring some of that warm weather back!! =)
